Rollerblade® Creates Adjustable Children’s Skate with One-Pull Closure System
This spring, Rollerblade will introduce a children’s skate designed to save parents money while keeping kids fit and active. The Micro II Total Fit SystemTM (TFS) makes putting on a skate quick and easy, while providing more support than laces or buckles alone. With the turn of a dial, the TFS cord wraps the skate around the contours of your foot, creating a snug, comfortable fit. “After being stuck indoors all day, kids are anxious to get outside,” says Nick Skally, Marketing Manager for Rollerblade. “This skate provides kids with a little independence. They can kick off their sneakers, strap on their skates and helmet and hit the road.”
The Micro II TFS is also equipped with a unique extendable frame that can be adjusted from sizes 12-2, 2-5 and 4-7. “A child’s shoe size changes once or twice a year, and this can start to get expensive,” continues Skally. “Parents are thrilled with these skates because their kids can wear them for several seasons.” The Micro II TFS carries a suggested retail price of $99.00. The gray skate is available with purple accents for girls, orange accents for boys or a vibrant blue/yellow combination for both.
