Gilda’s Club Northern New Jersey is offering a six-week writing workshop geared towards helping individuals through the maze of feelings that can accompany a cancer diagnosis. The workshop is free, open to the public, and is for anyone 18 and older that has been touched by cancer. Putting words together can be a powerful tool when facing these challenges of cancer. Discover how writing can be helpful in improving communication with family and with medical staff, reducing anxiety, and gaining insight. No writing experience is necessary. The group will meet weekly at Gilda’s Club, 575 Main Street, Hackensack, NJ. Each group participant will receive a fee copy of the self-guided journal entitled My Healing Companion. Space is limited; register by calling Gilda’s Club NNJ at 201-457-1670.
